The Foundation
The Echo Foundation, Inc. was founded with one mission in mind:
To find answers, and ultimately, a cure for Dilated Cardiomyopathy (DCM) in
Doberman Pinschers.

Born from personal heartbreak after losing our beloved Doberman, Echo, to this devastating disease, the foundation is our way of turning grief into purpose. Echo’s sudden passing opened our eyes to just how little is understood about DCM, how few resources are available, and how many families are blindsided by a diagnosis they never saw coming.
DCM is one of the leading causes of death in Dobermans, yet research remains underfunded and underprioritized. We aim to change that.

Fund Veterinary Research
We provide grants to support groundbreaking studies focused on the genetics, causes, and treatment of DCM.
Collaborate with Experts
We work alongside leading veterinary cardiologists, universities, and researchers to drive progress.
Educate and Empower Owners
Through awareness campaigns and accessible resources, we aim to help owners understand DCM, spot early signs, and advocate for proactive screening.
Honor Those Lost
Every dog lost to DCM deserves to be remembered. We carry their names forward through our work.
